Intimate weddings have this intrinsic charm I just can’t get enough of and this downtown Seattle elopement was all that I could dream of and more. Marlaina and Jon booked me over a year ago for their Detroit wedding. However, as time grew closer, Lainie and Jon decided to follow their hearts and cancel their big wedding. I got the email saying things had changed and they were now eloping. Of course my immediate response was “So, where are we going!?” Lainie and Jon fell in love with the city of Seattle and knew it was the perfect place to tie the knot. So off to Washington we went!
I was lucky enough to be graced by these two lovely humans in Seattle for the weekend. We got tiki drinks, late night pizza, and even hiked to Rattlesnake Ledge for an adventure session! But before the trip was over…there was one more important thing to do…GET MARRIED.
The easy-going couple started their wedding morning by eating sushi together for lunch, and the delicious Top Pot donuts I surprised them with. Before getting ready, they wrote each other letters to exchange. (Just wait till you see the sweet surprises they both left each other!!! *cryyyyying like a baby*)
Marlaina and Jon had the most perfect Seattle elopement. These two exchanged their personal vows among 10 of their closest people, surrounded by the colors Washington’s autumn painted for us. Following their ceremony, the couple headed to explore Pike Place Market in the rain. They danced under the city lights for an unforgettable night that was pure Seattle magic!
Cheers to these two for trusting me and flying me across the country to be a part of their special day. I love you both to pieces.
Xo, Molls.
