There’s something about an intimate backyard wedding that just hits differently. Ava and Michael’s day was intimate in the best way—not small, not simple, but intentional. Every detail felt like them.
The ceremony took place in a lush corner of the backyard, surrounded by trees, flowers, and the people who mattered most. Their friend officiated, which made the vows feel even more personal—equal parts emotional and effortlessly natural. It was one of those ceremonies where everyone leaned in, teared up, and smiled the whole way through.
Ava wore her grandmother’s jewelry, a detail that felt quiet and powerful all at once. Her florals, by Niloo Floral Design, brought the entire setting to life.
Dinner was held at Forest in Birmingham. Guests shared stories, toasted the couple, and leaned into the kind of connection you only get at a wedding this close-knit. No big production—just real, genuine moments.
The entire day was beautifully planned by Belle Event Co., who kept things flowing smoothly while letting the day feel relaxed and organic. As their photographer, it was such a joy to step into a space where the love was loud, but everything else was refreshingly low-key.
If you’ve ever considered an intimate backyard wedding but wondered if it could feel elevated, Ava and Michael’s day is your answer: yes. All heart, no filler.
