Detroit City Elopement | Sydney + Dominic

When I say Sydney and Dominic’s Detroit city elopement was the absolute dream, I mean it. These two put their own spin on every part of the day, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From getting ready at the Detroit Foundation Hotel to exchanging vows at the Belle Isle Fountain, it was intimate, stylish, and straight-up magical.

The Morning Vibes

The day kicked off at the Detroit Foundation Hotel, where Sydney and Dominic got ready for their big day. This hotel always brings the style, and their rooms are pure aesthetic goals. Sydney’s dress? OMG, can we talk about her poofy-sleeved By Watters gown? Adorable, fun, and chic all rolled into one. Meanwhile, Dominic looked effortlessly cool and ready to say, “I do.”

Before heading out, these two had a first look outside the iconic red doors of the hotel, and let me tell you, their reactions were everything. Sweet, emotional, and full of laughter—it set the tone for the day.

After the first look, we hit up some of Detroit’s most photogenic spots for couple’s portraits. Sydney and Dominic made the city their backdrop, and the energy was so THEM—fun, romantic, and just a little bit edgy. Their Detroit city elopement gave us all the urban vibes, and every shot felt effortlessly cool. We even made it a priority to go to the same spot they got engaged at Campus Martius.

Belle Isle Ceremony

The main event took place at the Belle Isle Fountain, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more special. Sydney and Dominic kept it intimate, with just their parents there to witness their vows. The fountain, the crisp air, and the love between them? Pure magic. It was the kind of moment that make elopements so memorable.

After getting hitched, they celebrated with a cozy, upscale dinner at the London Chop House. Between courses, we snuck in a private cake cutting (so cute!) and some funky flash photos at the bar. Think dim lighting, fancy cocktails, and all the swanky vibes—a perfect way to end their day.
