Detroit New Year Wedding: Alisa + Tom

There’s nothing quite like ringing in the new year with a beautiful couple in love. That’s exactly what I had the pleasure of doing when I photographed Alisa and Tom’s New Year wedding at the Madison Building in Detroit. From the stunning venue to the glamorous Gatsby theme, this wedding was one for the books.

The day started at the Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit, where Alisa and Tom got ready for their big day. The hotel’s modern yet classic decor provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s getting-ready photos. As a Detroit-based photographer, I always love shooting in the city, and the Shinola Hotel’s location made for some stunning shots of the couple in their element.

The wedding itself took place at the Madison Building, a beautiful event space that perfectly captured the couple’s Gatsby theme. Alisa and Tom spared no expense when it came to their menu, and the champagne was flowing all night long. The couple truly wanted to celebrate the new year with their friends and family in style, and they did not disappoint.
