Sand Dunes Engagement | Gary + Kathleen

Where do I even begin with Gary + Kathleen’s Silver Lake Sand Dunes engagement session?! We adventured to the sand dunes a few hours from our home in Metro Detroit, and spent the night celebrating with pizza and wine, as one should! It’s hard to believe that this magical of a place is hidden on the west coast of Michigan. Without an end in sight, there were times I almost forgot we were in our own state! These vast dunes perfectly create the illusion like you’re in the middle of desert.

We spent the first part of their session with Kat’s daughter Ash, and their two golden retriever pups! Then, we made the hike with our bottle of champagne for an unbelievable sunset across the rolling dunes. Gary and Kat made my job super easy at this sand dunes engagement session. Crazy in love and total model material, these two blew me away! Sometimes I walk away from a session or wedding and wonder how I got so lucky! It truly was such an honor to document this irreplaceable time in Gary + Kat’s lives.
