I’ve known Jessa since the good ol’ middle school days. So when she asked me to be a part of her and Tony’s wedding I was thrilled! However, the wedding day it was planned to be, didn’t end up happening. (Thanks COVID-19.) But after scrolling through this blog post, you’d never guess this Macomb backyard wedding was their Plan B!
The couple got ready separately at the stunning Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan. Jessa got into her wedding dress with their adorable daughter Nora and then let Tony + Nora have a special first look of their own. (Just wait until you see how PRECIOUS Nora is–and guess what! Now she’s gonna be a big sister 😉)
Shortly after, Jess + Tony shared an intimate first look in the conservatory gardens. And to make it even more special, right below their feet was a penny from heaven. Jessa’s papa passed when her mother was a teenager. Her nana (his wife) talked about papa a lot growing up and how he was with them even when they couldn’t see him. Pennies from Heaven, she’d call them. “We’d see pennies in the most random places sometimes, heads up, and it would remind us that we’re not alone and papa is always with us.” So when J + T exchanged rings privately in the gardens, low and behold, a penny, heads up. Right next to the ring box, her papa was right there with them.
Jessa + Tony got married in her parent’s backyard, under the willow tree planted for her by her father. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, this Macomb backyard wedding was the best “Plan B” yet!
