Target parking lot photoshoot = SUCCESS.

Justin and Allison are huge junk food connoisseurs so it only made sense to run into Target for a few of the essentials. And a conveniently placed Krispy Kreme in the same parking lot. Shout out to the Target parking lot in Sterling Heights, MI. From donuts to Doritos and Pringles, it’s safe to say we all had belly aches after this shoot. But I’ll be the first to say SO WORTH IT.

Lemme be nostalgic and sappy for a minute. I’ve known Allison since we were in a fake band together in middle school. We go back to the “good ol days” and recently re-connected. We’ve caught up on life over margaritas since then, and boy have we both been through a lot. Even in the past couple years of our new “grown-up” friendship, we’ve both cried to each other and more importantly laughed together. This is the type of friendship that I value.

That’s why these photos of her and Justin make me feel some sort of way. I know this girl. I know her past, her heart aches, and how far she’s come. The girl I know from 5 years ago, let alone 10 years ago, is and isn’t the same girl in these photos.

I see the girl I remember from middle school. I see a girl who had no care in the world. A girl BEAMING with joy. I see a girl totally and head over heels in love. A girl who is truly happy. But more importantly, I see a girl who knows her worth. That’s why these photos are so much more than just a Target parking lot photoshoot.
