One of my favorite emails I’ve ever received was from Mari, the bride from this gorgeous winter Michigan wedding. Along with other sweet words, it read “I would love to see if it’s possible to plan my wedding around your availability. I love your goal and interest in people’s weddings.”
Since before Mari and Benjamin were even engaged, Mari knew how important her wedding photography meant to her. It meant planning around my schedule and stretching the budget to make sure I was there to be a part of her special day. Hands down, one of the biggest compliments to receive. I love when my couples’ goals and priorities for their day mirror mine. I knew from the first emails exchanged that Mari and Benjamin would be much more than just ‘clients’. From planning their wedding to their Belle Isle engagement session, these two quickly became dear friends. Now Mari and I have outstanding margarita dates planned and I couldn’t be happier.
Mari was a real life princess on her wedding day wearing her custom Casa Blanca wedding gown from Elizabeth’s Bridal Manor in Northville, MI. It’s no wonder Benjamin was emotional when he first saw his bride walk down the aisle. Not to mention they perfected that first kiss DIP! ow owww!!
Mari and Benjamin’s winter Michigan wedding was at The Treasury in Pontiac, Michigan. This gorgeous venue was built in 1921 and originally served as a bank in the heart of Oakland County. If you’re in search of a timeless, modern wedding venue for your big day, The Treasury should definitely be on your list to check out. Unique characteristics around every corner, including the stunning bridal suite and historic vault in the basement. (Insert all heart eyes here.)
