Christie + Chris | Rustic Barn wedding

Taking place at The Vale Royal Barn & Inn in Fenton, Michigan, Christie + Chris’ fall wedding was the epitome of rustic wedding chic. It was the perfect combination of rustic style and elegance. From Christie’s brilliant wedding boots from Ps Kaufman gifted by her father, to their hippie photobooth bus by 77 VW bus, this sweet DIY barn wedding had me SWOONING.

I knew their wedding day was going to be extra fun when Christie told me she wanted to pull a prank on Chris. She knew he was super nervous for their first look, so what better way to break his nerves than having HER FATHER dress up as a bride (wig, red lipstick and all) and surprise him for a “fake first look”. I don’t know who was more nervous…Chris or me keeping that secret.

The couple said “I do” on a riverside dock, surrounded by their two precious puppies, and their closest family & friends. With rain on the forecast, it only made it that much more magical when the sun peaked out right for the first kiss. They partied the rest of the night away in the cozy barn decked out with twinkling lights and wood decor. And don’t forget the perfect Michigan autumn wedding touch, cider & donuts for dessert!
