Booking an intimate couple session isn’t about sexualizing your relationship or creating raunchy photos. Intimacy and sex aren’t the same thing. In fact, you can have sex without intimacy. And have intimacy without sex. Deep intimacy is being with someone in their “their-ness”.
This is why I love couples boudoir and intimate couple sessions. The vulnerability and the intimacy, is in fact the epitome of true love. And what a better thing to capture for someone?!
Meaghan and Oliver’s session took place at their home in Holly, Michigan. After a decade of spending life with one another and having a baby together, I know these images mean more to them than I’ll ever even realize. Because these photos aren’t about being sexy. These images are about their love.
Intimacy ≠ sex
Intimacy isn’t purely physical. It is about trust, truth and vulnerability.
Intimacy is mind, body, AND soul.
When you can stand in front of someone baring at all, and you just feel SAFE.
True intimacy is beyond touching of skin, but the touching of souls.
This. Is. Intimacy.
